Happy 34th Anniversary!!

I just want to wish my parents a wonderful 34th Anniversary today!

Growing up, I thought it was so neat that my parents were still together. For most of my friends their parents were divorced. I literally was 1 of maybe 2 or 3, that their parents were still happily married!

When I look at my parents I can see the love they still have for each other after all these years. They've shared so much, gone through so much, and have so much to be thankful and proud of. They still laugh, joke, tease, and lean on each other for everything!

Every child thinks their parents are the best, just like every parent thinks they have the best child. I can honestly say that I have the best parents! There isn't anything my parents won't or haven't done for me. When I was growing up, they were always there (sometimes and at some stages, I didn't want them to be there), but as I'm older I'm thankful that I was lucky to have both parents there for me during good and bad times.

As I've grown into a woman, my parents marriage has taught me a lot about my own marriage. You have to have patience...something I've always struggled with (and still do), you have to laugh, cry with each other, share your hopes and dreams and even fears, build a life together and make it solid so nothing can destroy it! I just hope that Chris and I are as lucky as you two in 34 years!

So to my mom and dad---Happy 34th Anniversary, you deserve the best and even greater years to come! We love you! :-)

We work hard for our money.....

Sorry there's been a lack of posting lately, mostly because there hasn't been anything exciting going on.
With Chris getting up at 2am to leave for work and I'm not far behind him at getting up at 4:30am, it's safe to say...we're tired!
Chris and I both have been extremely busy at work these last couple of weeks. For me, I don't see it slowing down real soon. With Chris getting this new position he has to train someone to take over his last. Let's just say, it's not working out the way he'd hoped! She's slowing him down and goes in earlier or stays late to play catch up. With me, summer is our busiest time of the year. At least from 3/30-10/1! We've been put on mandatory overtime, which means we are responsible to do an extra 10 hours in a week. Working 50 hours? If I could only stop there! With me also in a new position, there comes a lot more responsibility and work! I don't mind it, because it definitely makes my days FLY by!
So with Chris and I both putting in 12+ hours most days, by the end of the day we're beat! Did I mention we also work the weekends too?! Lucky for me, on the weekends I can work from home, but Chris still has to go in (in fact that's where he is now).
We'll keep you updated with us as much as possible, hope everyone is enjoying their wonderful Ohio weather! :-)

Monster Hockey!!

This past Tuesday, Chris, myself, Aunt Diane, and Uncle Ted went to see the Lake Erie Monster's play hockey! Chris and I hadn't been to a hockey game in forever, so we both we're pretty excited! We ended up having a GREAT time!!
For those of you that don't know, Diane and I are extremely close. Diane has always been there for me--no matter what! Growing up, I always felt safe and comfortable talking to her about anything. I've looked up to her as a 'second mom', a big sister, and even a great friend! Diane and I always have a blast together. We can always make any situation fun! We love to laugh and joke with each other, but we can always be serious and just sit and talk about anything. I know that if I EVER have a problem, get into trouble, or just need to talk....Diane's always there!
As for Ted, he's just your all around easy going guy. He's fun to be around and is always in a good mood. Chris and him had a great time! In fact, we all had such a great time, we've already made plans to hang out again at the end of the month!
Even though the Monsters lost, we didn't let that spoil our fun. Enjoy the pictures....

The Arena

Chris and I, before the game started

Monster's getting some pre-game practice in

What's up there?

Let the game begin!! (they blow up a monster for the players to come out of...sorry for the blur)

Spring....Finally!

Spring is FINALLY here in Northeast Ohio! It's been a long, cold and snowy winter and we're finally glad to have some sunshine. Neighbor's are out walking, dogs are barking, the birds are chirping and flowers are blooming!
This week is suppose to be in the mid-60's and by Thursday 69! :-) We're finally on the right path to great weather.
Hope everyone is enjoying this fantastic weather, keeps your fingers crossed that it continues.
Happy Sunshine! :-)

Happy Birthday Mom!!!

I just wanted to wish my mom a wonderful Birthday!
You know, when I was younger my mom and I didn't always see eye to eye. In fact, we probably argued more then we got along. As I've grown into a young woman, I can't go one day without talking to my mom. I tell her everything, ask her opinion on almost every situation, and always turn to her for advise. My mom has truly became one of my best friends. I couldn't imagine my life without her in it or being able to see her any time I wanted to! My mom has helped me through so many situations, good or bad, and I truly thank her for that. I always say thank you and I try to tell her as often as possible that she's truly appreciated. But sometimes I wonder if she REALLY knows just how important she really is to me?!
So on this important day, my mom's birthday, I want to wish her the happiest day! Because she's truly the greatest mom in the world and I'm extremly lucky to have her in my life.
Happy Birthday Mommy, you deserve the best! :-)

I LOVE YOU! :-)
