Today was my last day of Intro to Nursing for school! I've done pretty well this month, keeping an 'A' throughout the last 4 weeks. With having a test every Monday, a quiz every Thursday and a paper in between, it took a lot of studying and when I say a lot...I mean A LOT! I took my final exam today and got a 'B', which I was still really excited about. With that being said, I still managed to complete the course with an 'A'!!!!!
I'm looking forward to my 'school free' weekend...no reading, no homework, and no studying! Monday I start my next course, which is Computer Literacy & Psychology, wish me luck!
I guess what they say is true, hard work really does pay off! One month down....14 more to go! :-)

More Painting.....
This past weekend, my parents came over and we finally got all the priming done on the walls. It's now ready for color!! But before that can happen we still need to finish the ceilings and paint all the trim. I'll finally have this weekend free of all school work so I'm hoping some more things can get done. I also need to clean my house! :-(
Dad hates painting...it's his least favorite home project to do. Thanks dad for chipping in!
The mess of the kitchen!
Getting my paint on!!
This is our new kitchen sink & faucet that dad installed a few weeks ago!
**Thanks mom & dad for coming over and helping....we'll get it done! :-)

1 Month Down...
It's been a month since Chris left and as promised I wanted to keep everyone updated. Not much is really going on with him at this point. We only get to talk on the phone about once a week, but we do email almost everyday.
With him now in Iraq they are now playing the 'hurry up and wait' game. In order for their mission to begin they have to wait for another unit to move out.
He's sleeping in a giant tent with a hundred other men (once Summer hits, those tents get very hot...trust me). He's not at one of the main base camps, he's literally out in the middle of nowhere. No PX, no microwaves, no regular bathrooms, only port-a-potties (in fact, the hot commodity right now is toilet paper). Since it's also winter over there, he hasn't had to endure the heat quite yet. The high is usually around 70 during the day and as low as 30-40 at night (not quite as cold as good old Ohio)!
When I do talk to him, he sounds good and is trying to stay busy. Chris is never one to sit around when he's at work. So he'll volunteer to help where ever it's needed. He's been reading his books, watching his movies, and playing his video games. I'm sure that will all end soon enough once their mission jumps off.
That's really about it for now. As I found out more information or anything exciting, I will pass it along. Please continue to keep Chris in your prayers!
