Jaguars & Baseball!!

Yesterday was a busy Sunday, I spent the day with Jennifer and Isabella...what a great day it was!
We started off by heading to the Akron Zoo to see the new baby jaguars. They were just born in March and have recently made their appearance! Since the zoo only lets them stay out for a couple of hours each day, we made sure we were there to see them before they got put away!
After the zoo we headed to Wendy's for a yummy lunch, it's kind of our 'thing'! Every time Kevin is out of town and Chris isn't around, you can always find myself, Jennifer, & Isabella enjoying some Wendy's! The french fries get me & Jen every time!! :)
After lunch we headed to an Akron Aero's baseball game! It was a beautiful, sunny, hot day! It was Orbitz birthday (he's the mascot) and so all the mascots from our local teams came to celebrate with him...it was funny watching all the characters together! Isabella enjoyed some cotton candy, while Jen & I cooled off with some freshly squeezed lemonade. It was a great day spent with two of my favorite people!

Thanks girls for all the fun....we'll have to do it again soon!!

Isabella's 4th Birthday Party!!

Yesterday was Isabella's 4Th birthday party (her actual birthday is tomorrow), I can't believe she's already 4!! It seems like just yesterday Jennifer & Kevin brought her home to join our family. How time flies and how grown up she's getting. The weather was perfect, sunny, blue skies, and hot!! It was a lot of fun to watch all the kids play and watch Isabella open all her gifts.

I love Isabella more than words can say. Her smiles & giggles always make me laugh, not to mention the things she says! She's larger than life and just an amazing little girl. I'm proud to call her my niece and privileged to hear her call me Aunt Jewy!! We love you Bella and hope you have a wonderful birthday tomorrow! :)

Property Damage!

While I was out of town a couple of weeks ago, I received a phone call from one of my neighbors. Immediately, I asked, "what's happen to my house"? She assured me that the house was okay, but there was an accident in front of our houses. She continued to tell me what happen....when I arrived home this is what I found!

The grass got burned & died from oil leaking all over our yard!

So here's what happen, it was a Friday morning around 9:30am and a man from our street was heading down out of our neighborhood and apparently was completely and utterly drunk! The police said he was going about 65 mph on a residential street! He lost control of his SUV and took out two trees from neighbors houses across the street. When I say took them out, I literally mean, uprooted them from the ground and took them out. Next, dragging the trees down the street, swerved, jumped the curb, went over our brick retaining wall and landed in our front yard. My neighbors tell me that if that wall wasn't there, he would've easily taken out our flower bed, front porch, and ended up in our dining room, destroying the entire front of our house!
Needless to say, I'm kind of glad I wasn't here and I missed out on all the excitement...I probably would've gotten arrested myself for assualting the man! Now, I'm dealing with the police, reports, and insurance companies....hopefully it won't be took long till our property gets fixed!

Happy Memorial Day!

I wanted to wish everyone a great Memorial Day. As this day marks the beginning of summer and gives most people a break from work and a reason for some great cookouts, please keep in mind the true meaning of today! Keep our military in your thoughts and all the sacrifices they've given...especially those who aren't here to enjoy this day with their families and friends.

Happy Memorial Day

OBX Getaway!!

Last weekend I was fortunate enough to be able to get away on a mini vacation for a few days. With my parents and other family down in the Outer Banks, NC for 2 weeks, I flew down there for a long weekend to have some 'relax time'! With being in school non-stop & working, I won't get a real vacation until next year after May. So when this opportunity came knocking...I answered!
I got in LATE Thursday night (due to some flight delays), the weather was great while I was there....good thing, because I desperately needed some sun. Sun is what I wanted and FRIED is what I got! The beach house was gorgeous and absolutely huge...we had an elevator!! I left Sunday evening and was sad to go, the weekend flew by. But I had a great time and I'm thankful everything worked out so I could be there.
