A little of this & A little of that....

As you all know, our big project this year is remodeling our kitchen. It's still an ongoing project, but we're getting closer to the light! A couple of weeks ago, dad came over and installed a new door that leads from our kitchen to our deck. It looks great...thanks dad, I know it was a pain!

I also am including a few pictures of new things we've added to our home this spring, patio furniture, a new lawnmower, and a new flag to show our pride! Can't wait to start planting and doing more outdoor projects! :)

Proud Accomplishment!!

Today at school, I was presented with an award in front of my whole class. The award was for achieving and maintaining the highest grades for the semester out of my class of 30, for the last 3 months!! This was very unexpected, yet a very proud moment. Now the pressure's really on!!

Happy Birthday Zoe!!

Since Chris and I don't have our own children, our pup is our baby and I wanted to wish her a Happy 5Th Birthday!! For those of you that have pets, know that your pets aren't just 'pets'. They really are a member of the family. Zoe is our baby and is completely spoiled!! I really couldn't imagine our home without her! She's always at the door wagging her tail when we walk in, loves to cuddle on the couch when we're watching TV, sleeps in our bed with us, and is just an all around GREAT dog!! When we got Zoe 5 years ago, we were still living out in Colorado. Chris' deployment to Cuba was approaching and we decided to get me a dog to keep me company while he was gone. So it's safe to say, Zoe is or was my dog! Over the years, Zoe has really become a 'daddy's girl'. Don't get me wrong, Zoe loves both of us...but she definitely knows who her daddy is and really misses him (I can't say his name without her freaking out)! So here's to our baby on her birthday and many more happy years to come!

We love you Zoe!! :)

Probably waiting for food to fall!

She loves to ball up and sleep on the pillows!

Being a pretty girl for the camera!

Relaxing with daddy while he naps!

I love my mommy!

Spring Clean-Up!!

When Chris and I bought our house, we had some 'debris' we couldn't wait to get rid of along our driveway. Well, over the last few years it was just one of those 'big' jobs that never got done. I told Chris this year it's getting done! We have a family friend that has a tree removal company. So this past weekend he and his team came over and removed all of the 'ugliness' as I like to call it. I can't believe how much better it looks and I even think it makes the back yard look bigger.

What a great start to the many jobs we want done this year!! :)

Debris along top part of the driveway!

More debris....notice how it's all dead, it stays like that all year!

This is the devil of vines! These vines were intertwined through the fence!

One of the trees that was growing through the fence

The removal began....

One part done!

Finishing off one of the trees!

He did awesome taking these down!!

Top part complete!

No ugliness anymore!! :)

The finished product...all the way up the driveway!

* We also had some big limbs removed from the bigger oak trees that were hanging onto the roof of the house and the garage. There also was a limb hanging onto one of the electrical wires that he removed!

I'm so happy with the outcome...it really does make a world of difference! :)

Another Month Down!!

Yesterday was the end of my second month of school! This month was a little more changeling as I had two classes. With working from 5:30am to 8am, then going to school from 9am-4pm, keeping up with the gym at least 5 days, and then working again from 6:30pm-9pm...it definitely made for a long and BUSY day! This month was Psychology and Computers. Psychology I found very interesting, which I always have. We had a test, a mid-term, a 4 page paper, and a final! Computers I found very easy, it basically was typing (which I'm good at), PowerPoint's, Word, Excel, Outlines, and of course, quizzes, tests, and another paper! With all that, I'm proud to report that I still managed to finish both classes with A's!!!

Due to the end of the semester, I'm now on break for the next 9 days! April 6Th starts Anatomy...wish me luck! :)
